Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate is expected to:
Teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Publish research relevant to biostatistics or public health research methods. Mentor and advise students at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Seek and secure external funding that will support productive research. Demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion through research, teaching, and service activities.
Qualifications
Required:
1. Earned doctorate in Public Health or a closely related area (Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Psychology, Statistics, or other areas) conferred by September 1, 2025.
2. Demonstrated research experience in biostatistics, epidemiology, or closely-related field based on publications in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
3. Demonstrated ability to establish an independent line of research.
4. Demonstrated teaching experience in public health with an emphasis in biostatistics, epidemiology, public health research methods, or closely-related field at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
5. Demonstrated experience working with diverse groups/populations (not limited to race, ethnicity, and gender).
6. Demonstrated excellence in oral communication skills.
7. Demonstrated excellence in written communication skills.
Preferred:
1. Demonstrated ability to secure external funding.
2. Demonstrated ability to participate in collaborative research.
3. Postdoctoral experience.
