Assistant or Associate Professor in Geriatric Medicine

The Department of Medicine's Division of General, Geriatric & Palliative Medicine at the University of Virginia seeks physician faculty candidates for Geriatric Medicine. This open-rank, tenure-ineligible faculty position joins a dynamic and growing academic practice. The selected candidate will develop a clinical practice that includes caring for older adults in ambulatory primary care and consultative clinics. Inpatient responsibilities and opportunities, as well as other geriatric clinical duties, may also be considered. In addition, teaching responsibilities include training fellows, residents, and medical students in didactic and clinical sessions.

Job candidates must be an MD or DO and board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Board eligibility or certification in Geriatrics is strongly preferred but not required. Leadership, educational, and administrative experience are also highly desired.
