Why Join Us? As the Assistant Nurse Manager, you’ll be an essential part of our leadership team. You’ll support the Nurse Manager in long-term planning, staff development, and resource management—all while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership in Action: Step into a leadership role in the absence of the Nurse Manager, maintaining accountability and guiding the team with confidence.
Strategic Contribution: Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to develop and implement department goals and objectives aligned with our organizational mission, philosophy, and strategic plans.
Excellence in Patient Care: Ensure that patient care is safe, ethical, and meets the highest standards, promoting the MAGIS values and Magnet principles.
Quality Improvement: Lead and support quality initiatives, including participation in core measure projects, National Patient Safety Goals, and evidence-based research.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards, and participate in reviewing and updating unit policies and procedures.
Staff Development: Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified staff, ensuring the right team is in place to meet patient and family care needs.
What We’re Looking For:
Active Registered Nurse License in the State of Illinois.
Education: Associate's degree required; Bachelor's in Nursing preferred.
Experience: 2-3 years of job-related experience required; 3-5 years preferred. Designated/charge nurse experience is a plus. Preceptor or advance clinical ladder is preferred.
Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred; specialty certification in a clinical area is a plus.
