Assistant Manager Subway Schedules- Operations Planning Job ID: 10258 Business Unit: New York City Transit Location: New York, NY, United States Regular/Temporary: Regular Department: Operations Planning Date Posted: Jan 27, 2025 Description JOB INFORMATION Title: Assistant Manager, Subways Schedules First Day of Posting: 1.22.2925 Last Day of Posting: Open until filled Authority: OA/TA Department: Operations Support Division/Unit: Operations Planning Reports to: Assistant Director, Subways Schedules / Deputy Squad/ Schedule Manager Work Location: 2 Broadway, Manhattan Hours of Work: Managerial COMPENSATION Salary Range ($71,142 - $100,976) (Grade H) RESPONSIBILITIES This position is accountable for assisting in the management, coordination, development and production of efficient and reliable train timetables and crew work programs for NYCT subway lines and subway employees. Prepares supplemental timetables and work programs for temporary Subway route diversions and special events. Analyzes and evaluates ridership data on subway operations. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Five years progressively responsible transportation experience, one year of which must have been in the schedule department of a large transit authority or firm, two years of which must have been in a supervisory or managerial capacity; or A bachelor’s degree in management, engineering, mathematics, planning or transportation planning, or their equivalent, and four years full-time paid experience in such areas, of which two years must have been in the transportation industry; or Education and experience equal to the above. PREFERRED Knowledge of the routes and operating practices of the subway networks that comprise the NYC Transit system. Knowledge of MTA NYCT rules, regulations, policies and procedures DESIRED SKILLS Experience in schedule making related to subway operations. Knowledge of automated scheduling data processing systems. Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills. SELECTION METHOD Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview. All selected candidates will be subject to a full background investigation that includes employment, education, time and attendance and any disciplinary actions . Discrepancies may lead to dismissal.
