Assistant Manager Housekeeping

An Assistant Manager Housekeeping will support all Housekeeping and Laundry operations including the development of the Team Members with in the group so to provide an exceptional experience for our Guests.

What will I be doing?

\n

As an Assistant Manager Housekeeping, you will be responsible for assisting with overseeing housekeeping operations to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. An Assistant Manager Housekeeping will also be required to assist the Executive Housekeeper/Housekeeping Manager and monitor standards. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nAssist with overseeing Housekeeping/Laundry operations\nOperate within departmental budgets through effective stock and cost controls and well managed schedules\nSupport departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, and policies and procedures\nEnsure consistently high operating standards in every area of Housekeeping and Laundry, as identified by the hotel brand standards\nPerform routine inspections of all Housekeeping areas and report any issues to the Executive Housekeeper\nImplement, effectively, all Housekeeping policies and procedures including Health and Safety and security\nMonitor the appearance, standards, and performance of all Housekeeping Team Members with an emphasis on training and team work\nEnsure team members have an up-to-date knowledge of all room categories and amenities\nAssist the Executive Housekeeper to maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers\nEnsure staffing levels cover business demands\nEnsure ongoing training to support the Executive Housekeeper\nEnsure communication meetings are conducted\nManage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures\nSupport managing, training and developing the team\nDeputise in absence of the Executive Housekeeper\nProvide excellent guest service\nAssist other departments wherever necessary\n

\n\nHousekeeping/laundry experience in the hotel/leisure/retail sector in a managerial or supervisory capacity\nA high school certificate or equivalent\nHigh level of commercial awareness and cost control capabilities\nProficiency, at a basic level, with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Office\nExcellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills\nCommitted to delivering high levels of customer service\nAbility to work under pressure\nExcellent grooming standards\nFlexibility to respond to a range of different work situations\nKnowledge of Workplace, Health, Safety and Hygiene is essential\nStrong communication skills\nA passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service\n\n

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

\n\nFamiliar with Property Management Systems\nExperience managing a department and Profit and Loss account\nHigh level of IT proficiency\n\n
