Assistant Manager - Engineering
Site Name: India - Maharashtra - Nashik Site Posted Date: May 10 2025 Job Purpose – The job holder is accountable for effectively managing engineering maintenance activities in Tablet manufacturing and packing department to ensure delivery of products at an optimal cost as per agreed upon business requirements. Key Responsibilities – The key responsibility is to ensure smooth functioning of maintenance activities in the Manufacturing & Packing of Tablets. Ensure timely entry of maintenance data generated into Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Process confirmations against the 4M’s Machine, Manpower, Method, Measurement. Required to manage safety, quality, compliance and delivery. Required to identify improvement opportunities in the area to reduce waste and improve availability & overall equipment efficiency. Ensure strict adherence to zero access and safe machine guarding procedures, LOTO and permit to work (PTW) as per GSK GES, EHS guidelines. Conduct self, internal audit (L1 & L2) and other inspections as per audit schedule, in the area of accountability and track timely closure of actions. Real time issue identification and resolution involving staff; including running of GSK Problem solving process with staff and necessary Support Functions, line side. Ensuring that the appropriate Deviation procedure and problem-solving processes are used to avoid reoccurrence of issues. Risk Management - Ensure that all risks for department are identified, assessed and mitigated in accordance with risk management principles. Working with the team to continuously improve the capability of both the individuals and the overall team to increase their performance towards targets. Requires detailed resource (including spares) planning including job allocation and co-ordination with production & other departments, including procurement, Quality, EHS. Lead RCA and develop CAPA. Requires to co-ordinate with cross functional team for proper identification of root cause and preparation of CAPA. Why you? Basic Qualifications: Minimum Level of Education - B.E /B.Tech/ Diploma in mechanical/ Chemical/ Electrical/ Production Engineering Area of Specialisation - Engineering Maintenance Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: B.E /B.Tech with MBA in Production Engineering Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with mechanical engineering technology Why GSK?
