And we need a whole team of people to keep things running in tip-top shape From the exceptional service at the check-in counter to the departure gate, and even behind the scenes making sure your checked bags arrive with you, our Airport Operations team keeps operations at our airports running smoothly every single day.

Key Responsibilities:Day-to-day operational management and oversight of all Customer Service related activities for the Hub station including: performance, safety, customer service, and upholding Uniteds Core4 philosophyServe as a subject matter expert on specific areas of the operation including safety, service and proceduresImplement operational plans in support of the station, as well as Uniteds objectives and goals, using process management and improvementDevelop and monitor all administrative functions of station related activities within the budgetary constraints, and with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and performance related metricsLead projects using the four phases of project management: envision, design, build and activate.Station Operational Performance - support the achievement of station operational objectives, goals and metricsEmployee Relations/Employee Development/Leadership Development - promote positive employee and labor relations through ongoing engagement and effective communication. Provide ongoing mentorship and feedback to all assigned Supervisors ensuring to support efforts of attracting and retaining a diverse, impactful leadership teamStation Financial Performance - support the achievement of cost and revenue goals through staff management, baggage fee enforcement, and ground aircraft fuel burn reductionStation Safety Security - day-to-day management of station safety and security programs aiming to achieve the highest levels of compliance with safety and security standards and regulations and optimal safety performance against station goals

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):Associates Degree or equivalent work experienceMinimum 2-4 years of leadership experience in an airport operations environmentAt least 1-2 years line station or Hub operational experience (above and below the wing)Previous experience leading in a union environmentStrong sense of ownershipFlexibility to work any shift in a 24-hour, 7-day a week operation, including weekends, nights, and holidaysTravel is requiredMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):Bachelors Degree or related field experience in an airline operational environmentProject Management Experience
