\n\nThe position is responsible for assisting the general manager in the daily operation of the restaurant.
\n\nSummary of essential job functions
\n\n\n\tManages the entire restaurant operation in absence of the general manager.\n\tAssists the general manager in ensuring that the restaurant is fully staffed, operational, clean, and maintained.\n\tAssists the general manager in completing daily opening and closing checks to ensure quality operations; manages corrections as necessary.\n\tAssists with profit and loss management by assisting the general manager with food cost controls, inventory management, par level projections, labor management, and purchasing.\n\tEnsures that all standards of service are being executed to the highest standard.\n\tEnsures that all menu items are being executed to the highest standard.\n\tMaintains complete knowledge of and can execute all essential job duties within the restaurant.\n\tExhibits working knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Ensures that all health department standards are being met within the operation.\n\tEnsures that all assigned opening and closing duties are completed daily.\n\tPromotes good employee relations by championing professionalism and teamwork.\n\n\nMinimum job requirements
\n\nPrefer a minimum of one year of experience as an assistant restaurant manager within a full service restaurant. Current food handlers’ certification highly preferred.
\n\nAbilities required
\n\nMust have the ability to communicate with employees and guests using clear and positive language. Must have the ability to walk, stand and/or bend continuously to perform essential job functions. Must have the ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods. Must be able to work within a computer-based business environment and perform routine mathematical calculations.
