We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic leadership team at Hyatt House Charlotte/Center City. As the Assistant General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee all hotel operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. If you’re a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys mentoring a talented team, we want to hear from you! **Key Responsibilities:** + **Operational Leadership:** Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, including guest services, housekeeping, front office, food & beverage, and maintenance. + **Guest Satisfaction:** Ensure that the highest standards of guest satisfaction are consistently met by handling guest concerns and ensuring the hotel maintains a welcoming atmosphere. + **Team Management:** Supervise and motivate staff, providing coaching and support. Foster a positive team culture and maintain employee engagement. + **Financial Oversight:** Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Help manage operating costs and maximize revenue through effective hotel management practices. + **Staff Development:** Hire, train, and evaluate hotel employees. Encourage career growth and development through ongoing training and mentorship. + **Quality Control:** Ensure all hotel operations comply with company policies and standards, health and safety regulations, and local laws. + **Sales and Marketing:** Work alongside the Sales team to promote the hotel’s services and increase booking rates, ensuring the hotel is competitive in its market. + **Reporting:** Assist the General Manager in preparing monthly reports, including revenue, occupancy rates, guest satisfaction scores, and other performance metrics. HYATT house is an extended-stay, residential-style hotel that aims to provide individual travelers with the feel of a modern condominium. The 125 to 200 room, all-suite properties offer comforts of home such as fully equipped kitchens, flat panel HDTVs and free high-speed internet access. The public space features facilities such as a pool, a fitness center and a business center. A full breakfast every morning and an evening social on weekday evenings are complimentary to guests. HYATT house properties are located in urban, airport and suburban locations and can accommodate small corporate meetings and corporate clients seeking to place their employees on extended assignment. Welcome you to our new house, HYATT house! **Qualifications:** · 2-3 years of experience in hotel management, preferably in an Assistant General Manager or similar role. · Strong understanding of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance. · Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with guests and colleagues. · Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities. · Proficiency in hotel management software, i.e. Opera and Microsoft Office Suite. · Flexible and adaptable, able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. · Ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. · Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field. · Previous experience in sales and marketing within the hotel industry. · Experience in managing budgets and financial reports.
