The Assistant Finance Controller will report directly to the Controller and dotted line to the Chief Financial Officer ICFO), on specific projects. Assistant Finance Controller should be experienced in all aspects of non-profit fiscal management, regulatory and financial reporting. budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of Internal control policies and procedures.

Assist Controller and CFO with management of all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/PCoordinate and assist with the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variancesAssist Controller with prepare and publish timely monthly financial statementsAssist CFO and Controller with the preparation of regulatory reporting including annual and periodic program review audits as well as annual CFR and SSOPResearch technical accounting issues for compliance and Controller and CFO as neededSupport month-end and year-end close processEnsure quality control over financial transactions and financial reportingManage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filingsDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsTake lead role in establishing, maintaining and periodically performing audit procedures, as they relate to revenue billing and OMIG compliance, working with senior program staffTake lead role in working with senior program staff to resolve financial issues, review contract fiscal compliance and communicate financial trendsAssist in analysis and tracking of investment portfolioLearn general ledger system and assist in preparation ad hoc financial reports and month end financial reportingAdditional controller duties as necessary

Salary Range: $150,000 to $165,000/year

Qualifications Bachelors Degree10 years of overall combined accounting and finance experienceCPA preferredThorough knowledge of accounting principles and proceduresExperience with financial statement preparation for all types of legal entitiesExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close processExperience In preparing and review of partnership, corporate, payroll and non-profit tax filingsExperience with non-profit, low income housing and property management organizations preferredExperience with various accounting software administration - Great Plains experience will be helpfulExcellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectivelyDemonstrated strong commitment to safety.
