Assistant Facility Manager

As an Assistant Facility Manager here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in supporting the effective management and operation of our facilities. You will assist the Facility Manager in overseeing the day-to-day activities related to facility maintenance, repairs, and operations. Your contributions will ensure compliance with safety regulations, efficient budget management, and coordination of maintenance tasks. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be essential in optimizing facility performance and creating a positive and productive workplace for our employees.

You will report directly to our Facility Manager and you will work On-site in Clackamas County, Oregon and be on-call as required.

In this role, you will have a direct impact on the overall success of our business by ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained, compliant with regulations, and provide a safe and comfortable environment for our employees and customers.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Assist in developing and implementing maintenance plans, schedules, and strategies to ensure the effective operation of our facilities.

•  Support budget planning and help manage allocated funds for maintenance activities, seeking cost-effective solutions while maintaining high facility standards.

•  Coordinate and oversee maintenance tasks, repairs, and upgrades to ensure facilities meet safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

•  Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services, monitoring their work to ensure it meets established standards and is within budget.

•  Assist in implementing energy-saving practices and sustainable initiatives to reduce operational costs and minimize the environmental footprint of facility operations.

•  Conduct regular inspections and quality assessments to maintain and improve facility standards.

•  Assist in the development and execution of emergency response plans for facility-related incidents.

•  Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to understand their facility needs and provide updates on maintenance activities.

•  Respond to client requests as required

YOU MUST HAVE

•  Minimum of 3+ years of leadership experience in managing staff and contractors

•  Minimum of 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or related field.

•  Strong knowledge of building systems and equipment.

•  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

•  Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.

WE VALUE

•  Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field.

•  Experience in assisting with budget management.

•  Previous experience managing complex contracts

•  Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.

•  Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

•  Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
