THE JOB:
The Assistant Executive Stewarding Manager leads the stewarding department, ensuring smooth daily operations and team performance. This role involves managing people, overseeing inventory and vendor relations, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Additionally, the manager addresses operational challenges, implements improvement strategies, and works to optimize department efficiency and service quality.

THE STARTING RATE:
The annual salary for this position will start at $64,000k
THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Oversee Operations: Make sure the department runs smoothly according to the company's plans and budget, keeping in mind both short-term and long-term goals.

Ensure Great Service: Make sure guests receive excellent service that aligns with the company's standards and brand image.

Manage Staff: Oversee the team, including hiring (while supporting diversity), training, coaching, giving feedback, handling discipline, and scheduling.

Suggest Improvements: Offer ideas for new products, services, technologies, and ways to do things better.

Check Equipment and Cleanliness: Regularly inspect kitchen equipment and areas to ensure they are clean and sanitary.

Request New Equipment: Order new or replacement equipment as needed.

Control Supply Costs: Approve and monitor supply orders to keep costs low without sacrificing quality.

Manage Inventory: Keep track of and order dinnerware, flatware, and glassware.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

3 years of Stewarding Management experience

Strong knowledge of Commercial Kitchen equipment

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Prior Union Experience (Highly Preferred)

Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.

Strong problem-solving abilities.

Effectively engage in the development and growth of others.

Takes pride in their work and is self- motivated.

Highly Organized
