Assistant Director of Nursing - ADON

Steuben Center is seeking an Experienced ADNS/ADON for our Skilled Nursing Facility. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a Long Term Care setting, and experience in training and leading clinical staff. Premium compensation & comprehensive benefits package provided.

DUTIES:

Assist the DNS with management responsibilities and in maintaining quality of careResponsible for Wound/Skin Rounds weeklyAssist with compliance and ensure effective communication with all levels of nursing staffMeet the nursing medical needs of all residentsOn call responsibilitiesCoordinate and direct the total planning for nursing servicesMaintain a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practiceResponsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical recordsAssist with interviewing, hiring and orienting of new nursing staffOversee daily staffing processMaintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs

REQUIREMENTS:

Current New York RN license is requiredMin. 3 yrs. exp. in Long-Term Care settings2 years management experience preferred1 year staff education experience preferredExcellent Communication Skills requiredEvidence of basic leadership skills and supervisionFlexible hours required
