An Assistant Director of Finance is responsible for assisting in the management and administration of all financial operations within the hotel. This role plays a key part in ensuring the hotel delivers exceptional guest service while maintaining financial profitability.

What will I be doing?
As Assistant Director of Finance, you will ensure the accuracy of stocks, accounts payable, prepayments, and creditor/accruals accounting records and provide periodic reports to the Finance department. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
\n\n\nSupporting the Director of Finance in overseeing financial activities, contributing to financial planning and reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and standards\nAssisting with accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial statement preparation\nEnsuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls\nSupporting capital reviews as required by hotel management\nTraining and developing the Finance team and fostering succession planning\nPromoting financial awareness among local management\nReviewing account reconciliations and ensuring accurate month-end financial records\nAnalyzing performance against budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and managing finance projects\nOverseeing payroll, capital expenditures, inventory, and fixed asset management\nEnsuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements\n

\n\nRelevant and progressive work experience in Accounting or Finance\nExcellent supervisory experience\nFull understanding of financial operating systems and procedures\nStrong influencing, leadership skills, inter-personal and communication skills\nExcellent analytical skills\nFluent in English\nBachelor's degree from an academic institution in a related field such as Economics, Finance, Accounting or Commerce.\n\n\nIt would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
\n\nPrevious experience with the Hilton systems\nPrevious experience in the Account/Finance Management\n\n
