Assistant Director of Groups and Conventions is responsible for overseeing the work of the Sales Coordinators and the Groups Coordinator, working with the hotel to achieve pre-established goals. They are responsible for maximizing sales results for Hotel Groups and Conventions.
\nWhat will I be doing?\nAs an Assistant Director of Groups and Conventions, you will work by overseeing the Groups and Sales Coordinators team, who will handle the events in the hotel, always ensuring the quality and efficiency of our services. You will also carry out the following tasks to the highest standards:
\n\nSupervise the work of the Sales Coordinators to deliver our standard services to customers and achieve financial goals.\nVisit customers with the Sales Manager to ensure the success of the largest groups and events.\nGet involved in negotiations for groups and events to maximize results.\nCoordinate the \"function meeting\" with vital information about the groups and events taking place in the next 10 days.\nBe responsible for the weekly communication meeting with the coordinators.\nBe knowledgeable about and promote the hotel’s facilities and have an understanding of our competitors' strengths and weaknesses.\nOrganize hotel visits and attend unexpected requests.\nAct as the liaison between the client and hotel staff when necessary.\nWork collaboratively and in full cooperation with the Sales Managers and Revenue Management to ensure the entire sales process is completed and kept up to date.\nUpdate daily sales activities in the hotel systems, ensuring information is correct and consistent for the Groups Report.\nReview rates, groups, deadlines, and waiting lists.\nReview commission reports for groups, events, and Food and Beverage.\nBe involved in special activities, such as secretary cocktails, welcome dinners for groups, etc.\nEnsure that all requests are answered within 24 hours.\nStay informed about clients and engage in relationship-building with them.\nMaintain a positive work environment and good communication within the department and with other hotel departments to ensure compliance with Brand Standards and guarantee customer/guest satisfaction.\nComply with set deadlines and adapt to changes according to the hotel's operational needs.\nKnow and promote the hotel’s activities and events.\nWhat are we looking for?

\n\nComplete Graduate Degree or MBA in Management, Hospitality, or Marketing.\nFluent English and a second language desirable.\nPrevious sales and events/banquets experience, preferably in a hotel, and experience in leadership and team supervision positions.\nCritical analysis skills to strategically evaluate sales shares to be taken.\nAbility to analyze and manage multiple tasks.\nAbility to manage stress situations, always promoting a constructive and positive attitude.\nKnowledge of Product and Marketing, such as: Policies, Operations, and Structure of the Hotel, supervision, and organization of team members.\nThe ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.\nStrong organizational and planning skills.\nGood written and verbal communication.\n\nWhat will it be like to work for Hilton?
