For questions about this role, email [email protected] . **Purpose:** As the Assistant Director of Action-Based Learning, you will coordinate and oversee the operations of all eight action-based learning courses across the various degree programs at the Ross School of Business. You will manage other OABL program managers to support them in their program goals while you have primary responsibility for your own programs. Your direct reports will include: Program Managers (2), Travel Coordinator (1), Student Workers. You will also serve as a project liaison throughout the year to coordinate project logistics between student teams, faculty and projects sponsors. Benefits include: + Generous time off (Vacation, Holidays, Season Days) + A retirement plan that provides two-for-one matching contributions with immediate vesting + Many choices for comprehensive health insurance + Life insurance + Long-term disability coverage + Flexible spending accounts for healthcare and dependent care expenses + Flexible Work Program + Ross Onsite Fitness Center **Responsibilities*** **Program Operations Leadership (30%)** + Provide strategic direction for program operations, including design, goals, and learning outcomes. + Manage and nurture program partnerships, securing resources to support implementation. + Oversee program managers to ensure execution of best practices and innovations. + Establish and evaluate metrics for student participation, performance, engagement, team dynamics, and stakeholder satisfaction. + Manage budget planning for our programs in collaboration with program managers. + Lead special projects aligned with the strategic goals of ABL programming. **Program Management (40%)** + Administer and interpret university and department policies related to the student experience, resolving complex issues affecting the Ross School. + Collaborate with faculty, program teams, and OABL to manage important processes and milestones. + Deliver presentations and orientations to communicate program procedures and policies for projects with sponsoring organizations. + Lead program evaluations and assessments to drive continuous improvement. + Oversee student expense procedures for project execution. + Partner with Kresge Library to produce and distribute course templates in Canvas for all projects. + Coordinate with Program Offices, Career Development, Global Initiatives, and Academic Services to ensure course completion. + Communicate with students on unplanned issues affecting project timelines, goals, and budgets. **Project Management (30%)** + Act as liaison, coordinating project logistics between sponsors, faculty, and student teams. + Manage student team travel planning and resolve travel issues. + Collaborate with OABL to address sponsor-related challenges. + Conduct regular check-ins with partners to ensure project success. + Help with contract review, invoicing, and processing. + Be a resource on university policies and procedures. **Required Qualifications*** + Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification. + 5+ years of experience in higher education, student affairs, graduate recruitment, or university relations. + Full cycle project or program management experience. + Experience managing financial operations. + Experience building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared goals. **Modes of Work** Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. This posting range reflects multiple factors involved in determining compensation, such as skills, experience, training, certifications, and other organizational needs. At Ross, **it is not common for new hires to be offered a salary at the upper end of the range** .
