Ranked 35 among national universities, Boston College has 888 full-time and 1,281 FTE faculty, 2,711 non-faculty employees, an operating budget of $1.4 billion, and an endowment in excess of $3.5 billion. **Job Description** Under the direction of the Associate Director of Financial Aid, this position serves as a bridge between students' financial needs and their educational goals while assuming the responsibility of equitably awarding institutional, federal and state funding. The Assistant Director will share the vision of maintaining a supportive, student centered environment Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Award Boston College students federal, state, and institutional financial aid funds using federal and institutional need-based analysis methodologies within a one stop Student Services environment Manage a caseload of approximately 600 students with financial aid funds totaling between $20-25 M Advise students and families about educational financing, including financial aid, loans and alternative means of educational financing Stay current with regulatory changes and professional best practices, and following those practices throughout the academic year to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance Work closely with other offices including Student Accounts, Credit and Collections, Admissions, Academic Services Represent Financial Aid Office at various programs and events including Orientation, Open House, on campus events, etc. Perform financial aid outreach presentations and workshops within BC and in the local community Over time, act as a specialist to provide oversight and management for an internal or external program such as Pell or state scholarships Develop and maintain very positive and professional customer service and/or relations within the office/department and with students, families, peers, and campus partners Assume other duties as assigned Assistant Director, Financial Aid 0-5 years of experience: $ 57,800- $72,250 Senior Assistant Director, Financial Aid 5 or more years of experience: $63,800 - $79,750 **Requirements** Bachelor's degree required 2-3 years of financial aid experience preferred.
