SUMMARY:


The Carter Center’s Development division is seeking a temporary Assistant Coordinator for the Carter Center Weekend (CCW) program, which supports the annual fundraising event that will take place in June 2025. This role will focus on managing the auction database, cataloging donations, researching, and writing item descriptions, updating entries post-auction, and assisting with the coordination of catalog production and photo shoots. The CCW database is essential for tracking donations and producing auction catalogs, making accuracy and organization critical to the role. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and possesses strong written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to shift between data entry, creative writing, and research.

 

Assignment length: 4–6 months • Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week, approximately 1 – 2 days onsite/week or as business needs require.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in the development and implementation of program initiatives which may include the preparation of briefing materials, reports, correspondence and other documents, performing research, developing and maintaining databases, and developing promotional materials. Communicates with national and possibly international program contacts. Tracks program expenditures and may participate in the budget preparation process.Prepares and distributes reports. Coordinates logistical arrangements for meetings, conferences and travel. Performs related responsibilities as required.Checks data from completed donor forms or donor emails/correspondence for accuracy and enters into database.Provides feedback on new database functionality, including format and data fields, and makes suggestions for improvements, as available.Researches auction item origin, such as connections to The Carters, The Center, or the artists’ background, and incorporates it into writing item descriptions for the catalog.Incorporates corresponding auction item photographs in database.May assist with organizing photo shoots of auction items, working with the photographer, scheduling the time/location and volunteers to assist.Organizes and files paperwork for Silent, Live, and Online auctions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

PREFERRED:

Ability to write a description about an auction item to interest the reader
Attention to detail with data entry
Ease with technology and working with new software

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to The Carter Center on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs.  Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines.  All non-exempt employees must reside within the state of Georgia. The Carter Center reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
