Job Summary As an Assistant Controller, you will assist the Controller in supervising all financial activities and controls for the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center. Key Responsibilities: ? Assists the Controller in supervising all financial activities and controls for the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center. ? Directly oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, cash controls, and income audits and perform ongoing audits/checklists for all positions. ? Assist in the preparation of various financial statements, including yearly budget, monthly forecasts, monthly P&L statements, weekly flash reports, and various ad-hoc reports as needed. ?Assist other departments on operational issues to drive revenues and control costs. Prepare various financial analyses of hotel operations. ?Ensure that sales and occupancy taxes are collected and reported properly. Reconcile the taxes collected to ensure state and local audit compliance. ?Prepare daily & weekly cash and credit card reconciliations. Research & correct any discrepancies. ?Participate in the month-end process: journal entries, spot check or participate in inventories, review GL for accuracy, ?Audit for all financial controls and processes. ?Communicate goals and objectives and inspire employees to achieve those goals. Preferred Qualifications: ?Hotel experience required ? A bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred, or equivalent professional experience is required. ? At least two years of experience in hospitality accounting, including AP, AR, inventory control, payroll, and income audit. ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills ? Computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office with a concentration in Excel; PMS experience is preferred. ? Strong analytical and organizational skills. ?
