Brunswick believes “Next Never Rests™,” and we offer a variety of exciting careers and growth opportunities within united teams defining the future of marine recreation._ **Job Overview:** This position is responsible for supporting the Accounting Manager in managing the accounting operations, regulatory and financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. **Key Responsibilities:** + Assist in month-end and year-end close process. + Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. + Support budget and financial forecasts and report variances. + Research technical accounting issues for compliance with GAAP and internal policies + Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. + Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. + Evaluate, record, and report violations of controlled processes to management for proper correction. + Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. + Identify opportunities for process improvements and develop strategies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of financial operations **Additional** **R** **esponsibilities:** + Assist in training and development of accounting staff + Anything else needed or asked upon **Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred + 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience + Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills + Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines _Next is Now!_ _We value growth and development, recognizing that people come with a wealth of experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job.
