Job Description
A mid-sized manufacturing company in South Seattle is seeking an Assistant Controller. This is a direct placement role responsible for managing up to three employees. The position is 100% onsite with working hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Oversee general ledger activities and reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.Manage and process payroll, including reviewing timesheets, ensuring accuracy of earnings and deductions, and coordinating with HR and payroll providers.Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist in improving accounting procedures.Supervise and mentor accounting staff.Collaborate on accounting issues and functions.Perform special projects and financial analysis as requested by management.Essential SkillsReconciliationMonth-end processesFinancial reportingPreparation of financial statementsJournal entryAuditBank reconciliationVisual Manufacturing softwarePower BIPayroll managementAdditional Skills & Qualifications4+ years of progressive accounting experience; experience in public accounting or private industry is preferred.Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and payroll practices.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Intermediate skills using MS Office and HRIS, with Paycom experience being a plus.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
