Assistant Construction Manager I (Transit)
What You Will Do:

Assistant Construction Manager I (Transit) for Gannett Fleming, Inc. to work at our Fairfax, VA loc. May telecommute 2-3 days a week.

 

Under supervision of Sr. Construction Manager/Project Manager, provide construction management services. Perform routine assignments which are clearly defined and require the understanding of standard construction documents, procedures, and criteria. Document project meetings w/ clients. Provide input for and monitors project schedules. Perform periodic construction observation and inspection. Prepare reports and correspondence. Prepare and checks quantities for measurement and payment purposes. Provide input to construction payment applications. Assist w/ change order preparation. Reviews submittals and other technical data. Proficient with construction management software for document management. Perform constructability reviews. Assist with Risk Management assessments. Prepare and monitor QC and QA Plans.

May undergo background checks incl drug screen and MV check.

Limited local travel to client locations involved.

Education | Experience:

Must have Bach in Civil engineering, Construction Management, or rel field and 3 yrs rel engineering project experience or Master’s in Civil engineering or rel field and 1 yr rel engineering project experience.

Also reqs the following skills (6 mos exp) in: MS Office Suite and AutoCAD.

Also reqs driver’s license.

Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
