We are hiring a hands-on Assistant Company Secretary where one will play a key part in the management of all company secretarial needs of the Aggreko Group at a Group level and across the business regions.
The position will report to the company Legal Counsel & Deputy Company Secretary.
The team’s mandate is a truly global one with over 200 entities and branches spread across over 60 jurisdictions.

What you’ll do:
Ensure company secretarial compliance by supporting multiple day-to-day corporate housekeeping requirements and maintaining Group companies, subsidiaries' company registers, and company books.
Support and run the audit process alongside the Deputy Company Secretary on the regional rectification process.
Proactively support regional teams/subsidiaries with local company requirements such as ad hoc queries and ensure adherence to UK governance standards, legal requirements, and the Group’s Delegation of Authority, where applicable.
Support board meetings and resolutions throughout the Group (e.g. board packs and minutes).
Assist group projects (e.g. dividends, capital reductions, incorporations and dissolutions).
Support the business with ad hoc reverse KYC requests with the support of a third-party provider.
Assist in managing external legal spending, obtaining estimates, and instructing counsel on acceptable fee levels.
You’ll have the following skills and experience:
Experience working within a corporate legal or company secretarial team supporting a large global business supporting company secretarial compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Ideally with a proven track record of identifying deficiencies in company book record keeping and processes and supporting business improvements.
Have a good working knowledge of basic African and UK company secretarial issues and principles.
Be comfortable working within a fast-paced time-constrained environment.
Skilled at coordinating and communicating clearly with local counsel on regional requirements.
Experience using GEMS or Diligent (or another company books management platform).
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.
