Assistant Banquet & Operation Manager
**What Is The Job?** Great restaurant memories come from many places. The sights, sounds, scents and, importantly, service. As Assistant Banquet & Operation Manager, you’ll manage the Banquet operations to obtain maximum profit and maximum guest satisfaction. **Your Day To Day** + Coordinate the day to day operations of the Banquet floor to obtain maximum profit and maximum guest satisfaction. + Greet function organizers on arrival and ensure that their requests are dealt with. + Ensure all staff are properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions. + Help create a safe space by following our safety procedures and wearing necessary protective equipment. + Ensure that rooms/function space are set-up according to guest expectations and banquet event order. + Be cleaner than clean – meet or exceed local cleanliness and hygiene laws. + Inspect scheduled function areas/rooms, table set-ups, bar set-ups, buffet tables, receptions and coffee breaks for cleanliness, attractiveness, and proper layout. + Give guests a better experience by helping with any queries or advice. + Supervise VIP functions as required and oversee all set-up’s & service. + Take on other ad-hoc duties when the whole team needs to pull together. + Conduct pre-function meetings with scheduled staff and review all information pertinent day today’s functions’ + Attend BEO coordination meeting and special event technical meetings’ + Inspect & ensure back of the house is tidy and all equipment’s are arranged neatly on daily basis. + Adequate casual labour are hired for functions and maintain the labour cost at desirable level. + Rostering colleagues in accordance to the outlets business forecasts and requirements. + Wear your uniform with pride and grooming as per hotel standard. + Pre-function meetings with scheduled staff and review all information pertinent today’s functions. **What We Need From You** + Diploma in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage or related field. + 2 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. + Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities. + Compliant – as well as meeting local laws on food handling and serving alcohol, you’ll be above the minimum age required and fluent in the local language. + Articulate – a great communicator, you’ll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to. **How Do I Deliver This?** **We genuinely care about people and we show this through living out our promise of True Hospitality each and every day.
