Examples of Work The position of an Assistant Attorney General in the Complex Litigation section may consist of, but is not limited to, the following duties: + Work in the Complex Litigation Section under the supervision of the Section Chief; + Represent the State of Louisiana in the enforcement of state and federal unfair trade practice and anti-trust laws; + Lead investigations and all aspects of civil litigation, including discovery, motions practices, and resolving cases through hearings, trial or negotiated settlements; + Conduct research, develop legal theories, draft discovery and pleadings, conduct depositions, and present at hearings; + Develop legal strategies and perform investigations in partnership with counterparts in other State Attorneys General Offices and federal agencies; + Some travel may be necessary.
