The incumbent would be expected to teach courses that may include, but are not limited to: + MSAT Courses: Principles of Athletic Training, Clinical Exam and Diagnosis, Therapeutic Modalities, Therapeutic Rehabilitation, Therapeutic Interventions (General Medical), Psychosocial Issues in Sports Medicine, Pharmacology in Athletic Training, Interprofessional Health Care, Research, Administration and Professionalism, Topics, and Clinical Experience + Exercise and Rehabilitative Science Courses: Anatomical Kinesiology, Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries, Foundations of Exercise Science, Strength and Conditioning + Potential to teach summer MSAT courses. + Collaborate interprofessionally to prepare confident, competent, collaborative, and ethical professionals who positively impact the patients and communities they serve. + Collaborate with faculty in curriculum review, revision, assessment, and strategic planning. + Participate in the recruitment, admission, and retention of MSAT program applicants. + Assist with maintaining CAATE accreditation. + Instruct courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs. + Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field. + Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities. + Contribute to student growth and development including academic advising of undergraduate and MSAT students, and potentially supervising student research projects. + Provide service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community. + Support Winona State University's mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve. **Minimum Qualifications** + Earned doctorate (e.g., PhD, EdD, DSc, DAT) in Athletic Training or related field by August 2025. + Board of Certification (BOC) certified and in good standing. + Current or eligible for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in Minnesota. + Experience teaching courses at the undergraduate or graduate level in exercise science or athletic training. + Clinical practice experience in athletic training. + NPI number with appropriate health care field designation. **Preferred Qualification** + Evidence of teaching a variety of master’s level athletic training courses using multiple delivery methods (e.g., face-to-face, hybrid, and online). + Experience teaching courses within a CAATE accredited master’s level athletic training curriculum. + Demonstrated contemporary expertise in athletic training through additional credentials or certifications in specialties (e.g., Graston, CES, Dry Needling, instructor certification for BLS, CSCS). + Experience mentoring and advising undergraduate and graduate students. + Experience with program assessment. + Experience with course and curriculum development. + Experience with interdisciplinary or interprofessional education. + Evidence of supervising master’s level research projects relating to athletic training. + Experience with maintaining CAATE accreditation. + Experience as a clinical preceptor for athletic training students. + Demonstrated service to the profession of athletic training and/or involvement in athletic training related professional organizations. + Skills/ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching. + Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching. **Other Requirements** A complete online application will include the following: + A cover letter that addresses the qualifications listed previously + Current Curriculum Vitae / Resume Transcripts (undergraduate and graduate) + A list of professional references with contact information At least three (3) letters of reference.Please advise persons providing letters of reference of Minnesota’s open record law which can make such letters available to applicants upon request. **Posting Information** Application Deadline: Review of applications begins 2/18/2025 Appointment Date: August 2025 Primary Location: Winona, MN Salary: Commensurate with Rank and Experience Type of Appointment: Probationary/Tenure-Track **Telework (Yes/No)** No **About Winona State University** Founded in 1858, Winona State University is a regional public university and the oldest member of the Minnesota State system.
