The Assistant Accounting Manager will play a key role in supporting the maintenance and preparation of the financial statements for RingCentral Bulgaria on a monthly and quarterly basis, in compliance with IFRS. This individual will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to changes. A proactive "can-do" attitude is essential, with a hands-on approach to performing various accounting tasks. The Assistant Accounting Manager will assist in-depth with foreign currency analysis, interpret technical accounting guidance, and serve as the primary point of contact for audit, compliance, and financial matters related to entities outside of the United States. Additionally, this role may involve assisting with maintaining and reconciling certain general ledger accounts for other subsidiaries, while collaborating with other members of the Accounting Department on special projects.
This role requires on-site presence at our office 4 days a week to support effective collaboration and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the month-end and quarter-end close processes for international subsidiaries, including preparing and posting journal entries
Support the oversight of intercompany transactions, ensuring compliance with Intercompany Transfer Pricing agreements, and accuracy of intercompany accounts
Manage compliance requirements for the company, and maintain vendor relationships
Review financial statements and prepare balance sheet/P&L variance analysis for management reporting
Coordinate with third-party service providers to meet local statutory reporting requirements
Serve as a point of contact for foreign subsidiaries for all financial matters, identifying and helping resolve operational, financial, and strategic issues impacting the company
Collaborate with business and FP&A teams to understand the budget implications and implement planning strategies for accounting issues
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and the application of US GAAP
Prepare schedules for annual and quarterly reviews as required by external auditors
Play a key role in implementing new accounting pronouncements, process improvements, control enhancements, and best practices for day-to-day activities
Take on special projects as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA, and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Experience working in global companies, with a solid understanding of compliance in international subsidiaries
Knowledge of consolidations
Strong sense of ownership and eagerness to learn new skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Strong written and oral communication skills
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet competing deadlines
Results-oriented with the ability to collaborate across various departments and “roll-up the sleeves” to get things done
B2 level English proficiency (minimum)
Expertise in the Bulgarian market
Nice to Have:
Knowledge in FASB ASC 830
Working knowledge of NetSuite and/or other major ERPs (e.g. SAP, Oracle), Coupa, & Concur
CPA license
Have worked in a high-tech company
