Key Responsibilities:

Reports to: Grant AccountantKey Result Areas:Provide financial technical support to the Area program staff including on-the-job training in order to maintain accurate and reliable financial information.Prepare and file supporting documents for all accounting transactions in compliance with WVU & WVI financial policies and guidelines and coordinate banking issuesParticipate in the preparation monthly bank reconciliation with the support of the Programme Accountant. Review and Manage staff travel and business advances in GEMS by ensuring accuracy, authenticity, completeness and timely retirement of advances and monthly Account Allocation in SUN Review of in Provision for accuracy and completeness, Mobile Money payments against mobile money registration forms, participant registrations, attendance forms, approved activity requests (AAR), approved activity concepts, activity budgets, and all related support documentation from the project implementation teams and Prepare payment vouchers (using Voucher Interface) for payment.Participate in the audit processes of the projects, particularly facilitating audit team members’ easy access to the project financial records. Code & Monitor budgets and also participate in the preparation of different project reports.

Job Specifications:

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

Degree in Business Administration/Commerce-with accounting option.Pursuit of professional course is added advantageExcellent spoken and written command of English.Good communication, writing, facilitation skills.Track record demonstrating high integrity, innovativeness, creativity, reliability and dependableExcellent computer application skills in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);Analytical skillsTeam player, Self-motivator, able to work with limited supervision;Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.Computer literacyWilling to attend and participate/lead in daily devotions and weekly Chapel services.
