As a Mortgage Supervisor within the Wealth Management Mortgage Operations team, you will be serving the J.P. Morgan Private Bank, a part of the Asset and Wealth Management line of business. This prestigious bank is known for its top-tier services to ultra and high net worth team members worldwide. Your role will involve assisting these affluent clients in optimizing their wealth across generations, with a focus on after-tax benefits. You will be responsible for managing the complete mortgage origination process for Private Banking clients, who often have intricate financial needs. Given the financial diversity and sophistication of our client base, you will strive to provide the highest levels of quality service, aiming to deliver an exceptional client experience throughout the mortgage process.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage Team Leads and Quality Control staff to align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Foster a high-performance work environment through effective communication and team development. Manage and oversee the pipeline for Quality Control reviews, ensuring timely and accurate task completion. Ensure quality checks comply with business expectations and regulatory standards. Utilize the performance management model to assess and develop staff capabilities. Monitor department attrition and implement strategies to retain talent. Manage daily SLAs, focusing on file accuracy and resolving quality and dispute issues. Remediate complicated or escalated files independently, providing solutions without supervision. Participate in projects and feedback sessions to drive continuous improvement. Maintain strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with business partners. Ensure all QC activities adhere to regulatory and compliance standardsRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills:
3+ years of experience and proven ability to gather/analyze complex data and develop accurate conclusions with sufficient comprehension of the business to understand risk implications Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with internal and external parties Expertise in Mortgage concepts; Working knowledge of major US Mortgage Regulations Detailed understanding of all stages of mortgage originations life cycle Proficiency in analyzing documents like Title, Homeowners Insurance/Flood, Appraisal, etc. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required Team player that works well with others and can easily adapt to constant changing and dynamic environments Highly disciplined, self-motivated, and delivery-focused with ability to work independently Ability to positively influence change and maintain a positive change management environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Intermediate/Advanced experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
