Asset Manager
Overview

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking an Asset Manager who will be working in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of assets to ensure maximum return on investment and optimum operational efficiency. You will play a critical role in monitoring the performance of assets, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance their value. The successful candidate will be a skilled professional with a strong financial background, excellent analytical abilities, and a deep understanding of the local market conditions in Johannesburg.

Responsibilities:

Trade booking, confirmation, and settlement Ensure that all trades executed are entered completely and accurately into back-office systems Liaison with trade counterparties to agree trade details and ensure instructions are matched in the market Responsible for the setup and the static data maintenance of Bonds and Issuers in the relevant systems Fail Management and monitoring of alleged trades. Trade management of all trades Escalation of all unsettled and unmatched trades to management – daily fail reporting Completing transfers in/out Reconciliations Reconciling daily Cash, Stock position and inter-system breaks and ensuring all breaks are resolved in a timely manner Regulatory Reporting Quarterly reconciliation Monthly and quarterly performance reporting

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, or a relevant field. Proven experience in asset management Strong financial acumen and proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting. Excellent understanding of the local market conditions and regulatory requirements  Advanced knowledge of real estate valuation methods, investment analysis, and property management principles. Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Proficient in using industry-specific software and tools, including financial modeling and asset management systems.
