Who You Are:
Versar is seeking an experienced Asset Management Specialist to support its contract needs.
What You’ll Do:
The right candidate will ensure Reqs and POs for various customers are processed within prescribed timeframes. The candidate will provide internal stakeholders with inventory status and information relating to specific projects, managers, and locations. Arrange for packing, transportation, and/or delivery of goods per the customer’s request. Develop and implement improved methods of material handling, stock control, RMA and packaging to promote efficient services. Professionally address high visibility requirements and tasks in a time appropriate manner for a fast paced, demanding customer environment.
Develop and implement improved methods of material handling, stock control, and packaging to promote efficient services. Conduct cycles counts, record, and track inventory levels regularly to ensure accountability of assets.Arrange for packing, transportation, and/or delivery of goods per the Customer’s request.Review and reconcile deliveries, bill of ladings, and invoices, and resolve any issues.Maintain accurate records of goods received, shipped and stored in the warehouseProcess requisitions and purchase order request in CostPoint system, supporting individual businesses and stakeholders.Coordinates adjustments to ship dates or quantities on open purchase orders as necessary. Coordinates the resolution of invoice discrepancies in collaboration with Finance and Suppliers and serve as the main point of contact for Suppliers. Manage supplier communication related to purchase order, and mods/change requests.Standardize and build Bill of Materials (BOMs) for the different projects, using the information to update CostPoint parts files and conduct solicitations. Other responsibilities as determined.What You’ll Bring:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the warehousing, asset processing, and asset management field.HS Diploma or GED Certificate.Experience with the inventory practices, warehousing and inventory procedures as related to their material.Knowledgeable of security guidelines related to material movement.Valid Driver’s License (with good driving record).Ability to communicate effectively with Project Managers and various vendors and cargo carriers for shipments that are necessary for mission readiness.Ability to obtain a position of Public Trust.Attention to details and accuracy when inputting and managing asset data.Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.Additional Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work on ladders when required.May be requested to support minimal domestic or international support (@ 5%),based on Customer needs.Able to support non-standard working hours and overtime as necessary.Desired Skills
Knowledge of the Customer field environment.Knowledge of MSOffice applications such as Word, Excel.Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint inventory management module.Knowledge of logistics and procurement of materials, inventory management.Compensation
Expected Salary: $30 - $35 per hour
