J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) is a leading subadvisor to large annuity manufacturers and mutual fund companies. JPMAM seeks a National Accounts Client Advisor (CA) to provide sales coverage to asset management firms, insurance companies and recordkeepers. JPMAM’s Subadvisory client relationships are often large and complex, requiring skillful management of many different touchpoints. The CA will work with the client’s senior executives, product decision makers, sales leadership and investment research and due diligence teams. Where applicable, the CA will also be responsible for presenting JPMAM's value added services such as its marketing and distribution support programs.
As a National Accounts Subadvisory Client Advisor within JPMAM, you will be responsible for establishing credibility and fostering relationships with clients at a national/home office level. Your role will involve promoting our investment strategies with the aim of increasing our assets under management. Your professionalism and diligence in meeting client expectations will be crucial in enhancing the number and quality of our effective partnerships.
Job Responsibilities
Create, build and maintain relationships with senior client representatives at mutual funds companies, insurance firms and recordkeepers Identify, develop and close new business opportunities with existing clients and prospects Manage the research and due diligence process for investment opportunities — analyzing, recommending and presenting those solutions Work with wholesaling, marketing, and product strategy to coordinate delivery of value added services and distribution support programsPerform relationship/ investment reviews and serving as the primary liaison between JPMAM and its clientsRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills
5+ years of sales experience within the financial services industry; client acquisition or cross-selling experience Ability to position and differentiate our products against competitor firms and their products Possess understanding of investment fundamentals (capital markets, principles of portfolio management, and asset management performance analysis) Demonstrated success selling asset management productsStrong presentation, verbal and written communication skills Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and organized Excellent listening skills as well as the ability to identify opportunities and suggest creative solutions towards building joint business agendas Consultative sales style. Understands the need for relationship building, not simply product discussion. However, does have the ability to take advantage of product opportunities when appropriateStrong internal and external influencing and relationship building capabilities Bachelor’s Degree, Series 7, Series 63 and Series 3 Ability to travel extensivelyPreferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
