As an Executive Director / Vice President in the Fixed Income Investment Specialist Team, you will actively engage in maintaining and developing relationships between the investment desks and distribution teams. You will represent the investment team on business-related matters, including, but not limited to, marketing, product development, fund commentary, and sales/retention strategy. Job Responsibilities

Act as the de facto equivalent of a Product Manager, responsible for all aspects of the business except for investing. Work in close partnership with Portfolio Managers and other IS in our US locations, London, and Hong Kong, including on business strategy, product strategy, and distribution strategy for Japan. Partner with the Client Advisor to pitch for new business and be the voice of the strategies in conferences, roadshows, seminars, and training. Engaging with the sales teams across distribution channels is essential to jointly develop distribution strategy, targets, and tactical plans. Responsible for implementing guidelines and coordinating onboarding for new institutional or sub-advised mandates. Be the primary point of contact with the client on investment matters throughout the life of the mandate, including investment results and portfolio positioning. Hold credibility with both the Portfolio Management team and the client. Be responsible for ensuring that the client has the information they need to be fully informed. Conduct quarterly/annual account reviews and commentary making in fund reports. Be responsible for overseeing and coordinating monthly portfolio and mutual fund reporting when required, including commentaries and performance data, working closely with internal teams that produce this content. Belong to the Fixed Income Investment Specialist team in Japan. You are expected to cover strategies across the fixed income platform of J.P. Morgan Asset Management business. Though the role focuses on fixed income, there could be instances where the expertise will be applied to cross initiatives, applying fixed income expertise. Report to the Tokyo-based Head of Fixed Income Investment Specialists, Japan.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Extensive knowledge and experience in fixed income investing. Strong communication and presentation skills for a wide range of Japanese clients, from investment professionals to beginners. Ability to act as a fiduciary, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Team player, combined with the ability to work on own initiative. Excellent time management - able to prioritize issues and respond in a timely manner. Solid analytical and computer skills – Bloomberg, Excel, PowerPoint. Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written Japanese and English.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Client-facing experience and/or investment decision-making as a fixed income analyst or fund manager is a plus. Experience as a product manager and/or investment consultant is also a plus. Python coding skills are a plus. CFA, or equivalent qualification, is preferred.
