**Job Title: Assembly Technician**
**Job Description**
You will be working in an assembly role, learning the process of high-end outdoor furniture manufacturing. This position involves the use of fewer hand/power tools than typical assembly roles. The process begins in the grinding department, cutting, bending, and measuring metal, and using basic shop math with company drawings. Precision and a delicate touch are required, even for those with prior experience. Proficiency with power tools, tape measures, and following drawings is essential. An interest in the craftsmanship of products is highly valued. This role also includes learning every area of the operation, starting with the grinding operation and progressing to a Mig welding role.
**Responsibilities**
+ Learn the high-end outdoor furniture manufacturing process.
+ Use grinding, cutting, bending, and measuring metal techniques.
+ Utilize basic shop math and company drawings.
+ Work with precision and care in the use of tools.
+ Proficiency with power tools, tape measures, and following drawings.
+ Develop an understanding of the entire operation, from grinding to welding.
+ Move into a Mig welding role after mastering the grinding operation.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with hand and power tools.
+ Knowledge in mechanical assembly.
+ Proficiency in grinding, powder coating, and sanding.
+ Ability to read and follow blueprints and company drawings.
+ Experience in quality assurance and fitting.
+ Familiarity with sheet metal work.
+ Fine motor skills and craftsmanship.

Additionally, there are bi-annual raises every January and July. The average assembler pay in the facility is currently $21/hr, which you can reach within your first year.
**Work Environment**
Work in a very clean and well-lit environment. The process starts in the drill press area for raw materials of flat aluminum, then moves to welding, grinding, the paint line, and through the QC process to final assembly. There is also a sewing area where all cushions are handmade.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
