Temp to Hire **Remanufacturing Technician - Train Car Axles** **Location:** North Kansas City, Missouri **Job Summary:** LSI Staffing is seeking motivated and skilled Remanufacturing Technicians to join our client's team in North Kansas City. In this role, you will be responsible for the remanufacturing of train car axles, ensuring they meet strict quality standards. We have openings for all three shifts and are looking for individuals with mechanic experience and proficiency in using various hand, power, and pneumatic tools. **Responsibilities:** + Inspect incoming train car axles for damage and wear. + Disassemble axles and related components. + Clean and prepare axle components for remanufacturing processes. + Utilize various hand tools (e.g., wrenches, sockets, hammers). + Effectively use pneumatic tools (e.g., impact wrenches, air hammers). + Perform necessary repairs and replacements on axle components. + Reassemble train car axles according to specifications. + Conduct quality checks on finished axles to ensure they meet all requirements. + Maintain a clean and organized work environment. + Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines. + Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** + Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar mechanical role. + Demonstrated proficiency in using a variety of hand tools. + Experience operating power tools safely and effectively. + Familiarity and comfort with pneumatic tools. + Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. + Ability to read and understand basic instructions and specifications. + Detail-oriented with a focus on quality. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Strong work ethic and reliability. **Shift and Compensation:** + 1st Shift: $22.50 per hour + 2nd Shift: $23.50 per hour + 3rd Shift: $23.50 per hour **To Apply:** Interested candidates are encouraged to apply directly to this ad or online at www.lsistaffing.com for consideration!
