Staff Management/SMX reliable and safety-conscious associates responsible for production assembly activities, ensuring specification adherence are met while maintain food safety standards and productivity goals. Work on weekends and holidays may be required.

FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build kits of dry goods, liquor, beverage and equipment items into airline containers according to airline specificationsAssembles completed kits and virous bulk items into airline carts, carriers, etc. according to specifications, boarding check-sheets and assembly diagrams.Keeps production areas in compliance with food safety and sanitation standardsDocuments inventory usage in compliance to regulatory and company requirementsComply with hygiene, jewelry and use of PPE requirementsAdditional duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Previous airline catering or production assembly work preferredMust have a current food handler cardMust be able to read and write in EnglishEffective communication with supervisors and co-workersReliable attendance and ability to work overtime on occasionMust be able to work in an operation that is 24/7, 365-day environment and flexible with shift/day off changes as needs arise

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product/ equipment 25-50lbs frequentlyRegularly stands, bends, and repetitive movements during work shift

As an Assembly and Packaging Associate, you will have a direct impact on airline customer satisfaction and be part of a team responsible for preparing products for flights out of LAX. You will be responsible for:

Assembling components and/or catering carts to airline specifications. Packing various kits and carts for various airlines and flights, Assemble kits of dry goods, liquor, beverage, and equipment items into airline containers Load items into airlines carts and carriersMaintain assembly area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards

A key requirement for success is reliable and timely attendance. To that end, you will need reliable transportation. We are looking for flexibility to work weekends and willingness to work overtime as needed. Able to lift up to 20-50lbs, bend, lift above shoulder height. Work in cold temperatures of 40 degrees if working in Food Dept.
