Job Title: Assembler - Gasketing
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Assembler to join our team. You will start on the first shift in gasketing and then train to build. Once trained, you will receive a pay increase. This role requires assembling sub-components and finished products, primarily working with sheet metal plates and using various tools. The position is fast-paced and involves physical labor, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

ResponsibilitiesStart in gasketing and then transition to building after training.Gasket sheet metal plates and use a tape gun to hold units together.Work with a partner on the opposite end of the table to gasket each plate.Expected to gasket up to 400 plates per shift.Assemble sub-components and finished products using hand and power tools.Operate an overhead crane to build heat exchangers.Review assembly diagrams to determine parts and quantities needed.Work in a fast-paced production and assembly environment.Essential SkillsExperience with hand and power tools.Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and blueprints.Proficiency in using an overhead crane.Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Physical ability to lift 60lbs+ and perform repetitive tasks.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED (Company offers a GED program).Ability to climb, stand, and walk for extended periods.Strong teamwork and communication skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

First Shift: 6AM - 2:30PM (with possible overtime until 4:30PM and some Saturdays). Second Shift: 2:15PM - 10:45PM, Monday to Friday (with possible overtime from 12PM - 6PM on Saturdays). The manufacturing floor is clean, organized, and clearly labeled based on materials and production stages.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
