Job Description:
This first shift Assembler position starts out at $18.25 an hour and is responsible for a range of assembly operations connected with main and final assembly, sub-assembler; packing, trouble shooting, repair and adjustment of stainless-steel commercial models to meet exacting operating performance. Units are built complete at a single workstation. These positions may require daily and/or weekend overtime to meet customer expectations. Utilizing hand tools, power tools, fixtures, hoists and work instructions, the Assembler will also use their combined knowledge of both mechanical technology and electrical components to complete production tasks.
Assembles and repairs equipment according to work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, and specifications using hand tools, power tools and precision instrumentsUsage of basic hand and power toolsReads process sheets, blueprints, schematics and work instructions to determine methods and sequence of assembly operationsPerforms visual inspections of equipment parts for defects related to the fit, form or functionWorks within a team environment to execute weekly production schedules that are measured for productivityDemonstrates a high level of competency on assembling of machinesAssembles, packs and/or crates finished products and parts in a variety of crates or boxesProvides instruction/training for others on assembly products and processesPerform responsibilities and tasks following quality and safety practices and proceduresAccepts responsibility for all housekeeping protocols and reporting any inventory concerns to supervisorAdhere to all plant rules and maintain proper attendance standards according to company policyWork and communicate well with others in a cross-functional team environmentMinimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED preferredPrevious assembly experience in a manufacturing environment is preferredAbility to physically perform (stand, pivot, lean, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds) as requiredProlonged periods of standing/sitting and performing repetitive tasksPeriods of working in hot/cold manufacturing environmentAbility to use hand and power tools, safely and efficientlyDemonstrate basic proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints and instructions to perform assembly in proper order and sequenceWe are an equal opportunity employer, where we value the strengths of diverse team members.
Compensation Information:
Starting pay $18.25/hour. Tops out at $22.81/hour after 6 months.
