Job Description

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reading of drawings/blueprints, production documentation, complete documentation, maintain high quality workmanship and organizational habitsPreparation and inspection of components for assembly; cleaning, part verification and fit-checks, grit blastingCutting, stripping, cleaning, inspection and handling of fiber optic cables in preparation for terminationTerminations of Fiber Optic contacts involving various tools, epoxy procedures, crimping, handling and inspectionPolishing techniques and methods for Fiber Optic contacts, polishing papers, sequence, handling, inspectionKnowledge and completion of optical testing including proper use of test jumpers, insertion loss and return loss equipment and documenting measurementsOral/Written Communication – Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Records data

Education and Experience:

High School diploma, or equivalentAbility to apply common sense in performing jobAbility to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelinesAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to use basic high school math skills2-3 years complex cable assembly experience

Physical Demands:

Good coordination and flexibility in both handsMove and occasionally lift up to 50lbs. or moreGood vision including passing color blindness test
