Upstone Materials is currently seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator to operate the production of hot mix asphalt used in the construction and maintenance of roadways.

 

Compensation:

$25 - $27.08

Asphalt Plant Operator Responsibilities The Plant Operator leads the execution of the maintenance program for the plant equipment and facilities in order to keep the plant functioning efficiently, and to minimize downtime Directly operates plant controls to accurately manufacture hot mix, warm mix and/or cold mix asphalt to specification Receive orders for asphalt Ensure customers get accurate product and pricing Complete preventive maintenance on the plant, including planning, documenting, and recording scheduled maintenance, and respond to any mechanical breakdowns or malfunctions in a timely manner Maintain the cleanliness of the plant(s), including the inside/outside of the operator’s area Maintain an adequate inventory of materials, such as: additives, fuel, and liquid asphalt to meet daily production needs Leads and assists plant employees in the maintenance and repairs of plant equipment Work with Quality Control personnel to continuously monitor the quality of the products we produce Compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations/policies. Continuously improve safety and productivity at the facility Asphalt Plant Operator Profile GED or high school diploma Experience in a similar role in plant operation is preferred Valid NYS driver’s license Mechanical ability Asphalt Plant Operator Benefits
