DESCRIPTION:

The Asphalt and Paving Supervisor position is responsible for supervising the paving crew and managing the day-to-day operations, but not limited to communication with truck drivers; handling the aspects related to plant personnel and customers; scheduling and necessary maintenance.

Responsibilities and Duties (but not limited to the following)

Oversee the day-to-day operations of asphalt paving projectsEnsure compliance with safety standards and regulationsCoordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholdersDevelop project plans and schedulesMonitor the quality of materials and workmanshipSupervise paving crews and provide guidance and trainingInspect completed work to ensure it meets specificationsManage project budgets and control costsHandle any issues or emergencies that arise during the projectPrepare reports and documentation for project progress

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Must have at least 5 years of verifiable experience as an Asphalt Paving Superintendent or Supervisor.

·         Proven track record of managing paving projects

·         At least 2 years of experience in the construction of HMA Pavement Runways, Taxiways, Apron or Aircraft Parking

·         Knowledgeable in trouble shooting of HMA Paving Problems such Segregation, Density and Smoothness Issues.

·         Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and equipment

·         Attentive to detail and knowledgeable in FAA and/or US Air Force Asphalt Paving Quality, Specifications and Job Mix Formula.

·         Experience in FAA and/or US Military Projects is a plus.

·         Ability to work under tight deadlines

·         Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

·         Certifications in construction safety and project management

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

·         Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulations

·         High school diploma or equivalent

·         Valid driver's license

·         Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and its Territories

·         Must be able to work on U.S. Military Project(s) based in Northern Mariana Island / Tinian

 

The expected salary range for this dependent upon experience.
