If you are a Asphalt Paving Foreman with experience, please read on!What You Will Be DoingWe have an immediate opening for "Experienced" Asphalt Paving Foremen for construction projects in the metro Atlanta area. Interested applicants must have a minimum of 5 years paving experience and a minimum of 2 years experience as a foreman. Responsibilities would include evaluating project work scopes, reviewing plans and specifications, coordinating field personnel. In addition, ensures that adequate materials, equipment, and tools are available for projects, and that equipment is operating properly. Ensures employee adherence to appropriate safety precautions and regulations. Checks and completes applicable daily reports. Performs other related duties as required.What You Need for this Position- Calculating the number of trucks required to haul asphalt from the hot plant according to vehicle capacity, traffic conditions, distance from work site, and productivity of drivers.
- Considerable knowledge of the relevant occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Ability to plan, schedule, assign, and supervise the work of subordinates.
- Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions, and to work from plans and specifications.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain simple records.
- Sufficient physical strength and agility to perform the work of the class.
