Summary About the position: This position is assigned to the Arts and Crafts facility of the 6th Force Support Squadron Community Services Flight, MacDill AFB, FL.. THIS IS A DRUG TESTING DESIGNATED POSITION. THE INCUMBENT IS SUBJECT TO RANDOM TESTING FOR DRUG USE. Responsibilities Responsible for the efficient and economical operation of the Awards and Frame shops within the Arts and Crafts Center. Responsible for all purchases of materials and supplies for all cost centers, including maintaining current 889's; receiving; inventory maintenance-input and tracking for all cost centers. Rectifies all end-of month variances; daily financial paperwork; money handling and deposits for multi-cost centers. Provides employee computer training to comply with Air Force requirements and ensures all AF training regulations are met and recorded; manages and maintains NAF property list and disposal databases as well as fixed assets. Serves as records (costs, materials used, budgeting, etc) and equipment custodian (maintenance, repairs and purchasing). Maintains accurate merchandise pricing and signage on floor; direct marketing and advertisements under the tutelage of the Director. Sets up community outreach and information not limited to skills development classes in auto hobby, wood shop, frame shop and crafting. Works with marketing department for marketing all aspect of the Arts and Crafts cost centers, classes and events. Assigns, directs, and reviews the work of subordinates, and evaluates their work performance; approving or disapproving sick leave, annual leave, or other absences from work; planning, scheduling, and coordinating work operations, solving problems related to the work supervised; determining equipment and supplies needed; and explaining and gaining the support of subordinates for management policy and goals; and for dealing effectively with employee and representatives of personnel on employee suggestions, complaints, grievances, and other matters. Implements comprehensive skills development programs incorporating all program elements. Organizes activities referral systems and databases, equipment support and vendor accounts. Partakes in events and event planning. Responsible for resale operations, facility and equipment maintenance and repairs; maintains current library of maintenance manuals and catalogs, Air Force required training and binders for all cost centers. Serves as funds custodian (surprise cash counts, daily paperwork, asset protection, IBPS, EOY purchases and other money related items). Will be required to assist all cost centers during high volume timelines, graphic design, lasering, framing, woodworking, and front desk duties. Performs customer service duties as needed. Transmits and receives documents and messages electronically using a networked government computer. Conducts special studies, research or projects assigned by the Director. In the absence of the Director, assumes the responsibilities of the Director for the continuity of the Program. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifying Experience: Needs to have progressive work experience in production, operational management, business resale and fund management. Working knowledge of retail sales, business trends, social media, purchasing, inventory control and production shops. Accuity in financial reporting and management. Needs to show an ability to work independently under firm timeline suspenses. Bachelor's degree in arts, finance, or management preferred. Multi-tasking and ability to work unsupervised mandatory. Must reflect knowledge of production industry, promotional products, and wood working. Must possess computer skills with a working foundation in word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, and other database software. Knowledge of following software a plus: Corel Draw, Lifesaver for frames, Adobe products. Must have experience with cash handling procedures and sales operations, included but not limited to receipts, disbursement, receiving, examination, deposits, and internal controls. Work experience should reflect the ability to provide instruction and training staff. Must have excellent oral and communication skills. Must possess a valid driver's license. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
