GTA Preferred ARMS teacher Preferred Strong knowledge of 7th and 8th grade Math and ELA curricula and standards. Proven ability to develop and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that close skill gaps and lead to student growth. Excellent communication skills and a passion for working with middle school students. Availability for the full duration of the program (5 weeks) including 2 pre-planning days (TBD) Desired Qualifications: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Math and ELA that are tailored to 7th and 8th grade students, focusing on strengthening foundational skills and preparing students for the next grade level. Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment where students feel supported and challenged. Implement activities that reinforce key concepts in Math and ELA, including problem-solving, critical thinking, reading comprehension, writing, and grammar. Assess student progress and collect and share standards-based growth data to be shared with the BOE upon completion of the summer program. Adapt lessons and instructional strategies based on individual student needs and progress. Be available for the full 5-week duration of the program, with a commitment to being present and engaged during the scheduled hours (8:30 AM – 12:30 PM, final schedule TBD).
