Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Personnel assigned on shifts to carry out planned activities of the security program as well as any authorized duties relating to emergency management functions.


Qualifications

Minimum:

Minimum of one (1) year experience as a security officer involving extensive public contactHigh School Diploma/GEDDRV LIC =  Poses a valid State Driver's License or have the ability to obtain prior to hire dateCT CCW = Certified to Carry Concealed Weapon or applicable state license.;  Must have a current CCW if required or able to produce proof of application awaiting their approved CCW hard cardAbility to comprehend and follow instructions & maintain attention and concentration for necessary periodsSynthesize coordinate and analyze data perform simple and repetitive tasksMaintain a work pace appropriate to given workload & perform complex and varied tasksRelate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions & get along with co-workers and peersUnderstand the meaning of words and how to use them appropriately and effectively & understand and remember detailed instructionsMake independent decisions or exercise judgment based on appropriate information & accept and carry out responsibility for direction control and planningKnowledge of Life Safety TJC CMS and OSHA regulations and standardsWorkplace violence training within 6 months of employmentCompletion of NIMS compliant ICS 100HCb 200b & 700a coursesCPR BLS  = Basic Life Support (AHA) Certification within 90 days of employment.International Association of Healthcare Security Services (IAHSS) preferred Basic course within 90 days of employment and IAHSS Advanced course within six months of employment.
