In this position... 

At Ford Motor Company, we are taking our Area Managers to the next level. This member of the plant leadership team is responsible for leading change efforts within the plant in order to meet global manufacturing standards. They will support employees by removing barriers to their success, and developing their knowledge, skills, and abilities.

You'll have... 

Education: High School diploma or GEDExperienceBroad production experienceStrong ability to interface with plant hourly, salaried personnel and plant managementStrong ability to present in front of senior managementAbility to teach Ford Production System principlesCompetent in the use of data for decision makingExcellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to resolve diverse problemsWork well under pressure and to be able to work under crisis management when necessaryAbility to work and multi-task in fast paced environment

Lead the development, delivery and report out of the SQDCPME objectives and Master Schedule for their areaResponsible for day to day achievement fo their area SQDCPME targetsImplement and coach the Ford Production System operating systems and processes within their area and ensure adherenceEnsure stability within their area by focusing on inputs, processes and the required outputsDrive Continuous Improvement and provide the necessary resource to their teams to support problem resolutionCoach, teach, provide support and feedback on problem resolution and continuous improvementAdvance their organization through developing highly competent and motivated peopleDevelop “Leaders as Teachers” at all levels of the organization. Ensure employees receive the necessary training, coaching and experiences to raise their performance level and advance the organizationDevelop and provide feedback for salaried staff personal developmentDevelop and implement effective area communication and recognition processesCreate a robust and sustainable relationship wit the Union in support of the company’s core values
