Architect II

Job Description:

As a Project Architect II, in partnership with Senior Architects and the Project Manager, you are responsible for the issuance and content of deliverables, technical content of documents and coordination of disciplines including consultants. You will collaborate with other design and construction team members to develop appropriate design solutions and then to implement those design solutions from initial conception through the construction documentation and administration process for multiple projects. You should possess strong knowledge of design, trends, and construction administration. Strong communication skills and the ability to take artistic and technical direction with a positive attitude will be key to your success. It is expected that you will be able to work independently and creatively solve problems while also collaborating with a team.

Responsibilities:

Lead design discussions and development of drawings, modeling and 3D renderings based upon those discussions, ensuring the design intent of the project is incorporated into the detailed documentationGuide specification set-up and drawing coordination, research and appropriate use of standardsDevelop, check and coordinate technical aspects of the design of a project or multiple projects assuming responsibility for finished plans, specifications and QA/QCCommunicate and coordinate with other architects, owners, engineering disciplines, vendors, consultants, governmental agencies, etc. throughout the design phase of the building projectConstruction administration including review of submittals/drawings, response to RFI’s, oversight of construction document preparation, and resolution issuesManage project specifications, project schedule and budgetsMay participate in business development meetings with team leaders to target specified project, client or market opportunitiesGuide the work of junior staff on various projects

Qualifications:

Architectural Degree, or informed knowledge of the field of architecture and designCurrent Architect licenseA minimum of 5-8 years’ design experience including managing projectsProficiency in Revit and AutoCADProficient with all Microsoft Office applications

Nice to have

Working knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelinesWorking knowledge of buildingSMART, Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD)Proficiency in Bluebeam, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $90000.00/yr.

100% ESOP Company
Quarterly profit distribution (after the first year)
