Your Role
As a Gensler Architect with our Healthcare team in Miami or Tampa, your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. What You Will Do
Documentation coordination with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.)Coordinate with the project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants for a variety of healthcare projects (medical office buildings, hospitals, outpatient clinics, surgery centers, community health centers, etc.)Manage ACHA communication and stage approvalsResolve complex technical and design issues with team to produce innovative, technical, constructible solutions Direct production of drawings, specifications and construction administration tasksResponsible for delivery of documents with design intent and top-notch technical qualityContribute to the maintenance and oversight of the project manual and specificationsConduct on-site observations and document site reviewsProcess submittals/substitution requests during construction and address RFIsInterface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the projectActively participate and contribute to the financial performance of projectReview and contribute to proposals and contracts with the Design ManagerContribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programsEstablish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationshipsYour Qualifications
Experience working within AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) regulations to deliver projects in the state of FloridaBachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited schoolRegistered / Licensed Architect (RA)ACHA (American College of Healthcare Architect) certification is a bonus10+ years (preferred) of related experience on healthcare projects, from feasibility studies, pre-design, space programming, master planning to schematic design, design development and construction documentsUnderstanding of healthcare regulations and codes (FGI and NFPA)Highly proficient with RevitLEED AP (or in process) preferredExpertise with building codes, standards and building structures - able to lead and guide our teams and clients with confidenceFlexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of developmentA quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environmentCollaborative and team-consciousMust have the ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships through successful project deliveryDemonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; Portfolios should include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus, which we look forward to discussing during the interviewLife at Gensler
