The Ohio Department of Public Safety is seeking a Architect consultant who will be responsible for leading design sessions, design documentation, code reviews, rewriting legacy applications to .NET applications utilizing C#, MVC, WCF, SQL Server and other technologies.
The new applications, to name a few, will include the following:- Dealer Licensing System (public-facing and internal websites)- Proof of Insurance Filing and Cancellation (public-facing website)- Public Records Request system- Bad checks tracking, Abstract Accounting- Invoice system- Transcript Logging, Special Plates- Refund systemThe new applications will implement a 3-tiered architecture and comply with ODPS coding standards.
The Architect has the ability to design, develop, and implement application infrastructure to provide reliable and scalable applications and systems to meet the organization’s objectives and requirements. The Architect is familiar with a variety of the application technologies, environments, concepts, methodologies, practices, and procedures. The Architect is also able to perform a variety of complicated tasks with minimal or no direct supervision. The Architect is experienced in defining systems and application architecture.
AR1Years of Relevant Experience:Up to 5 years software development and testingPreferred Education:4 year college degree in computer science or related field with advanced study preferred.Role Description:•Proven experience with hands-on technical development work.•Ability to coordinate with technical leads, business users and project managers.•Experience participating in development of standards and product recommendations.•Experience designing and architecting systems as a member of a design team.•Experience working through every phase of software development life cycle.•Strong verbal communication.1. 5 years of verifiable experience as a Senior .Net Web Developer utilizing the ASP.NET MVC Framework at least 4 years2. 5 years of verifiable .Net experience utilizing C – Sharp (C#) 3. 5 years of verifiable experience with SQL Server Database Design and development including optimization of queries, creating tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.4. 2 years of experience developing a project within the AGILE methodology.5. 2 years of verifiable experience developing web applications utilizing the 4.0 .Net Framework or higher.6. 2 year of verifiable Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience developing and securing Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).7. 3 year experience or a demonstrable understanding of N-tier environments as it relates to development, security and deployment.8. 2 year experience or a demonstrable understanding of code repository strategies, code promotion strategies and recovery using Team Foundation Server.9. 2 years of verifiable experience implementing Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX) enabled controls within Active Server Pages (ASP).Net Web applications.10. 1 year of verifiable experience with distributed transactions.11. 1 year of verifiable experience developing on systems with high volumes as it relates to concurrent users and size of data referenced.12.
