Job Description

To lead multiple products or work streams relating to the design and implementation of Cloud solutions, operating across a number of Service Teams across the Group, and proactively engaging with internal stakeholders. To guide and coach less-experienced peers to become more productive and effective team members.

Acts as a subject matter expert from am information architecture perspective and provides input into all decisions relating to data engineering and the use thereof. Educate the organisation on information architecture perspectives on new approaches, such as testing hypotheses and statistical validation of results. Ensure ongoing knowledge of industry standards as well as best practice and identify gaps between these definitions/data elements and company data elements/definitions.Asses systems against the information architecture to ensure system and information architecture alignment and integration, liaise with relevant stakeholders should risks or incompatibilities arise.Define and manage strategic business and functional requirements into usable and enterprise information architecture. Ensure customer experience is incorporated into all enterprise information architecture designs. Engagement with external customers, relevant senior stakeholders within standard bank and other architects.Design, implement and continuously update information structure workflows and collaborate with internal technology project stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.Determine how data and information is obtained, labelled and categorised through metadata standards. Responsible for shaping and managing Metadata standards and their effective implementation across Standard Bank.

Qualifications

Degree: Information Technology (Min)

Post Graduate Degree: Information Technology (Pref)

Additional Information

Experience Required: Enterprise Technology & Solutions Architecture

1-2 years: Leadership experience in driving technical engineering and development teams in the delivery of cloud solutions.

3-4 years: Have experience implementing Continuous Integration or Continuous Delivery processes in engineering teams and lastly, experience leading and integrating test automation into various points in a deployment pipeline and prior programming background in at least one or more languages: C, C++, Java, Perl, Python, Go, or scripting experience in Shell and Perl.

More than 10 years: Require experience in using large scale production systems and technologies, for example load balancing, monitoring, distributed systems, micro services, and configuration management. Designing and executing small to medium scale systems automation projects with strong autonomy. Be familiar with and enthusiastic for software engineering best practices such as testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery. Be familiar with systems and configuration management tools.
